Critical Security UAB, company for security solutions, becomes part of CID Group
CID Baltic UAB, member of the international CID Group, strengthens its position in the IT security market − in November CID Baltic acquires Lithuanian company Critical Security UAB, which provides non-traditional IT security solutions.
“The contract with Critical Security has been signed last month. It has already been a year as we worked with this company as a partner. We believe that the experience of this company in the field of data security and our experience in developing solutions for financial services, media and manufacturing companies will provide even more secure solutions for our customers. We are working with financial companies and that is why we focus on ensuring our solutions’ security”, explains Aidas Kavaliauskas, Managing Director of CID Baltic.
“Our company is the only Lithuanian company that can offer its customers the unique package of specialized solutions, as it is not only well aware of the modern hacking techniques, but can also reveal new vulnerabilities and attack methods in a controlled environment. Today, when information is becoming more valuable and hacker activity has been recognized as growing, information must be protected very carefully. When talking about protecting important and valuable company data, an anti-virus program is far from enough – in this case the professional approach is needed and that is what we offer. Having joined the CID Group, our company has substantially strengthened its position and will be able to expand its knowledge and geography of activities”, says Povilas Poderskis, Development and Sales Manager at Critical Security.
Main customers of Critical Security are – AB DnB NORD Bankas, UAB DnB NORD Lizingas, Sampo bankas, UAB Interlux, Parex bankas, Ūkio bankas, Medicinos bankas, UAB Konica MINOLTA Baltia and others.
“This year the turnover of CID Baltic during the first half grew by 25 % as compared with the same period last year. After acquiring Critical Security we are expecting further turnover increases. Currently Critical Security has 5 professionals and we plan recruiting extra 10 in the next year. Services, which we are going to offer together with Critical Security, are at a great demand abroad. For example – currently there is a lack of around 18 thousand professionals in the United States, who are able to work with non-traditional methods and expertise in IT security and hacking tactics”, said Aidas Kavaliauskas.
